Gophers

Pocket gophers are a common nuisance in Arizona landscapes. These burrowing rodents create extensive tunnel systems that damage lawns, gardens, tree roots, and underground irrigation lines.

Gophers are solitary and territorial. They create complex underground tunnel systems and push soil to the surface, creating fan-shaped mounds. They feed on roots, bulbs, and vegetation.

Gophers damage landscaping, gardens, and irrigation systems. Their tunnels can undermine foundations and create tripping hazards. They can kill trees by consuming roots.
